Manager, Project

Description

The incumbent will assist the Project Director and/or project Senior Manager in managing overall construction works and execution of assigned project within stipulated time. Besides ensuring that materials are delivered on time and the project runs within budget, the Site Agent is also accountable for overall quality and compliance of environmental, safety and health aspects of the project. 

Tasks & Responsibilities

1. Liaise and coordinate with all contractors on interfacing works.
2. Control and monitor works of all subcontractors’ activities.
3. Responsible for overall construction onsite.
4. Monitor and resolve all contractual issues.
5. Oversee safety aspects of construction activities.
6. Ensure Quality Control at site.
7. Oversee all logistical requirements at site.
8. Attend all progress meetings.
9. Participate in tender process in terms of advice for construction issues.
10. Ensure implementation of ESH operational controls documented in the HIRADC / Job Safety & Health Analysis and Environmental Aspects and Impacts Register.
12. Implement all policies, activities, procedures, instructions as relevant and required by the QESH Management System.
13. Ensure compliance with legal and other requirement applicable to the organization and projects.
14. Undertake any other functions as directed by the management from time to time.

Competencies

1. Highrise apartment construction experience is compulsory.
2. Involved in subcontractor tender exercise - determine scope of work, tender clarification and pre-award planning, post award construction management onsite, contract administration, local authority inspection, CPC, CCC and handing over to client process.
3. Involved, lead and completed minimum 2 (two) IBS/PPVC projects.
4. Leading site coordination with other trades i.e. Architecture, M&E, Interior Design, Green Building, Landscape and Infrastructure work.
5.Completed Qlassic project.
6. CIDB CCM/CCPM certification is an added advantage.

Education

Degree in any engineering or constructions related course.

Experience

8 years site construction and site management experience as main contractor Construction/Project Manager stationed at site.
